Our History

Bishop Han Theological Seminary was established with a passion to train faithful leaders grounded in Scripture and empowered for ministry. Inspired by the legacy of Bishop Han, it began as a response to the growing need for contextual theological education in the region.

Bishop Han Theological Seminary is an inclusive and ecumenical community where theological diversity is embraced and celebrated as a strength rather than a division. While deeply rooted in the Wesleyan Methodist tradition, we open our doors wide to welcome students, pastors, and lay leaders from a broad spectrum of Christian denominations

including the United Methodist Church, Presbyterians, Evangelicals, the Wesleyan Holiness movement, the United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP), the Christian and Missionary Alliance, Pentecostals, Baptists, and many other faith communities. This rich diversity fosters a dynamic environment of mutual learning, spiritual growth, and collaboration, allowing students to engage in robust theological dialogue and ministry formation across traditions.
